Fenestration Manitoba wrapped up 2013 with our Holiday Mingler at Rossmere Golf & Country Club on December 12th, and on behalf of the FenMan board and members, I would like to thank Anatoli Glass and Adfast Corp for sponsoring the event, and for all the people who came out to enjoy the evening.
2013 was an important year for FenMan’s growth and development in supporting Manitoba’s window and door industry. FenMan has:
- re-engaged Manitoba Hydro on behalf of our industry
- met with the provincial government to remind them that we are a strong and vital industry in Manitoba
- held our first golf tournament and seminars
- presented a tour and presentation by Architectural Testing at their test lab followed by discussions about the new NAFS codes that are being implemented across Manitoba and Canada.
FenMan memberships are for the calendar year, so please renew or join now. You can visit our “Become a Member” webpage to pay by credit card online or request an invoice.
FenMan has recently been recognized as an affiliate of Fenestration Canada. As a result, we are now able to offer affiliate status and access to Fenestration Canada to Manitoban companies doing business only in Manitoba when you join FenMan.
Important changes are occurring in the window and door industry and it is important to stay informed. The next FenMan event will be a presentation on February 13th, 2014, on the North American Fenestration Standard (NAFS) and the building code and how it will affect window and door manufacturers in Manitoba. More details will be posted online in January.
Happy holidays!
Sincerely,
Ryan Dudeck
